Haven - is a fork of the Monero protocol that supports private coins creation to represent stable and volatile assets. Haven protocol creates virtual private currencies and commodities assets. The aim of Haven's invention is for people to make decentralized digital offshore banks. During its inception in 2018, Haven did not have any pre-mine, initial coin offering, or any seed funding. The core developers, Pseudonyms Dweab and Neac, used a different strategy where the development team automatically earns 5% of the block rewards. The protocol uses XHV as the native cryptocurrency among other assets, the main one being xUSD. It relies on Random X, a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus, for security and mine the native currency. Haven uses coloured coin technology that allows a user to assign a specific attribute to a Bitcoin or a fraction of a Bitcoin.
