About Prometeus

Prometeus is a secure layer-2 ecosystem aiming to solve current data brokerage issues through a trustless and decentralized data storage and exchange. Initially, it was created to serve influencer marketing, insurance, and medical data markets. Today, it facilitates a seamless flow of information while increasing global communication between individuals without any form of control. All communication between different nodes happens on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The digital content is stored and distributed by Arweave and Sia Sknet, respectively. Prometeus is a blockchain project of the Prometeus Labs. PROM, the primary utility token, powers the Prometeus network. It allows users to make in-app payments in the Prometeus network. Besides, users can use PROM to stake in the network and earn PROM rewards. Stoa, a decentralized data monetization platform) and Ignite (decentralized social network) are the two main products of the Prometeus ecosystem. The network is secured through Proof-of-Staked Authority (PoSA) algorithms.
