Fagan Kourbanov is CEO and founder of Avoteo - a community-based project that sets high objectives for further development. Below you may find the highlights from our recent conversation.
Chris: Tell us about the creation of AVOTEO. Since when does it exist?
Fagan: The Idea of Avoteo came to me years ago. Ever since then I was looking for an option to make it perfect before opening it to the world. The rise of cryptocurrencies and the market tied to this industry has given Avoteo the last push, by adding the last piece into the puzzle.
Chris: Who is your target audience? What value do you offer to the people?
Fagan: Anyone out there willing to create something new, extraordinary, and out of the standard is invited to join Avoteo. But not only Entrepreneurs or artists are welcome. You have certain skills and thin that you can contribute to a project that will be presented on our platform? You will find a lot of them on Avoteo.
Or you just like a project and want to support it by giving it a like? Spread the word, show support and benefit from profit share once you favorite projects gets the funds from the Avoteo pool.
Chris: Did the DeFi movement change the industry in your opinion?
Fagan: It is a process. It is not a question, that the DeFi movement has a huge impact on the way we handle many areas of our life. But the game has just begun. A lot of exciting projects will join and change the way we handle our finance.
Chris: What is the difference between Avoteo and all the other Projects out in the cryptospace?
Fagan: Well, the answer to this question is obvious after reading our whitepaper.
First of all, AVO token has more than only one use case. It serves in different ways, all at once.
Staking is integrated into the Smart Contract.
You need AVO to be able to vote both for projects contributed on the platform and for decisions on the direction Avoteo itself is moving.
More is to be revealed at a later point.
We are not just an end in itself token. What we are building is a melt together of different areas to create something brand-new, something entertaining and something useful all at once.
Chris: Did COVID19 affect your business? How did you adapt?
Fagan: Before COVID came to change everything, we were mainly focused on Events and Exhibitions. Suddenly and without a warning it all was shut down to zero.
No events, no trade shows, and the worst about it nothing to look forward to and no possible end. Facing this situation, we had to decide between hoping and doing nothing or acting and reinventing ourselves. We are not the type of people who sit and wait for things to come along, so we found ourselves exploring new directions.
Blockchain and its possibilities have been one of them.
Chris: Let’s imagine I do have a team of developers and we just released an innovative DeFi or STO project. How much investment do you think we need to pour into marketing and PR to become a well-known and “hot” project today in 2021?
Fagan: Of course you need money for promotion, but it is not all about just paying to become trending.
Building a community, that loves the idea and supports the project, a team that gives 200% 24/7 and the will to give everything to make your idea a success. This is what it is about.
The more you have of the mentioned the less you must invest in paid services.
Chris: Can you tell us about an accomplishment you are most proud of?
Fagan: For now, this is surely first of all our team and our community.
Working nonstop on Avoteos vision, the belief in the idea we are creating and making possible what seemed impossible the day before.
Having these people on board is a guarantee for Avoteos success.
Chris: I wonder if you have UK-based projects in your portfolio? Do you plan to get any?
Fagan: As we are still in the creation phase, there are no specific projects that we support. And at the end, Avoteo is all about community. Each holder of AVO tokens will decide which project to support. We are not and never will be able to influence this process in any way.
And I am looking forward to seeing people from UK and from all over the Globe contributing their ideas to our platform, being funded and writing amazing success stories.
Chris: What kind of partnerships are you looking for (integrations, media partnerships, contractors, etc.)? Do you have any specific plans for the UK market?
To us partnerships are a flowing process that needs time and must bring advantages for both sides. Currently and at this phase we are not searching for a specific partner.
Nevertheless, we are always open to suggestions and will have a lot of partnerships in the near future.
