Algorand - is a cryptocurrency project and a pure Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain. It aims at solving the three dilemmas of blockchain: scalability, security, and decentralization. It was founded in 2017 by Silvio Micali, an MIT professor and Turing award winner. Algo is the primary cryptocurrency in the Algorand Blockchain network.
