Arweave – It is a decentralized data storage protocol that offers permanent data storage using Proof-of-Access (PoA) consensus. It allows users to pay low transaction fees to store their data forever. Unlike in the Bitcoin blockchain, where data is stored in chains of blocks, Arweave employs graphs of data that form a Blockweave. Arweave was established in 2017 as Archain by Sam Williams and William Jones. It was later rebranded to Arweave in 2018.
Technically, Arweave relies on Blockweave, Wildfire, PoA, and Blockshadows technologies. AR is the primary token in the Arweave network.
