Liquity USD is a lending protocol that is decentralized, immutable, non-custodial, and governance free. The protocol aims to create a capital efficient and user-friendly way of borrowing stablecoins. Liquity allows users to get zero-interest loans against Ether that are used as collateral. The loans are secured by fellow borrowers who act as guarantors, and a Stability Pool containing LUSD.
Users can benefit from the protocol by Depositing LUSD to the Stability Pool then earn liquidation gains and LQTY rewards in the process. Alternatively, they can Stake LQTY earning the revenue from both redemption fees in ETH and issuance fees in LUSD. LUSD is the native token used to pay loans on the protocol. The secondary token od the platform is LQTY that documents revenue generated by the system hence incentivizing frontends and adopters.
