About Osmosis

Osmosis Network is the first open and privacy-enabled blockchain built for next-generation open finance and responsible data economy. This network combines secure architecture and high throughput to power private and scalable DeFi systems. In this project, new users get more functionality from the open finance system than early adopters and traders. Its unique design allows the separation of consensus and execution into the Consensus Layer and The ParaTime Layer. Following the split, multiple parallel transactions are possible, resulting in a faster execution turnaround. The Osmosis network was developed by Oasis Labs, headed by Prof. Dawn Song, a leading member of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California. OSMO is the native token in the Osmosis Network. Besides, third parties can add incentive mechanisms to specific liquidity pools.
