Zenon is a Network that enables the efficient transfer of value and data globally through distributed ledger technology. It uses a new type of architecture, Network of Momentum (NoM), overcoming the limitations of current blockchains and DAG-based cryptocurrencies. Zenon, a POS/MS hybrid cryptocurrency, uses the NoM to build upon existing blockchain and DAG architectures, hence solving the problems. Because of sharding, the network scales linearly as the number of nodes grows.
The protocol is different from traditional blockchain consensus since its transactions are not treated in batches. They are asynchronously processed within shards, verifying the network's overall state and validating at the end of each epoch.
