Chromia is a blockchain platform that enables people to develop decentralized real-world applications. It aims to solve the scalability problem among decentralized applications (dApps). Some of the dApps are in the gaming, healthcare, financial, and real estate sectors. The platform uses Chroma (CHR) as their native token, which is used in paying transactions. The token fashions a good working relationship among Chromia’s users, investors, and developers. Chromia uses a network of nodes, each node having a relational database. The nodes form a Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) which is a consensus algorithm helping with security. Chromia transactions are further secured by a Proof-of-work (PoW) consensus algorithm. Chromia was founded in 2012 by Henrik Hjelte (CEO), Alex Mizrahi (CTO), and Or Perelman (COO).
