About Orchid Protocol

Orchid Protocol is a peer-to-peer (P2P) virtual public network (VPN) that provides anonymity in communication and offers virtual private networking services. It offers a bandwidth market for node providers who have to stake tokens to appear on the providers' list. Users connect with the node providers to create multi-hop onion routed circuits that maintain their security and privacy while accessing the internet. These services are accessible on the Orchid App. The Orchid Protocol is built on the Ethereum blockchain and runs on WebRTC. Orchid relies on a probabilistic payment system that allows millions of transactions per second to create a high liquid bandwidth market. The Orchid project was launched in 2017 by Orchid Labs. OXT is the native utility token in Orchid protocol. It facilitates all in-app transactions since the network works on a pay-per-use model. Users and node operators must own OXT tokens on their wallets before any transaction.
