How's everybody doing? This time around we are talking to Stefan, a digital artist, and Lead Designer behind “the Novatar.”
Chris: Novatar NFTs are essentially tokens that age in real. What is the whole concept behind the growing NFT?
Stefan: The world is moving towards Web3, and soon we all need a digital identity to be part of virtual realities. While this might sound unreal to some people, it will become our reality sooner than we think. The whole concept was built around the idea of standing out and making something special. My team and I wanted to revolutionize the ways users utilize their NFTs – basically, we came up with a new experience inspired by something we loved as kids – “Tamagochi” or “Animal Crossing.” So, the aging idea was discovered at the intersection of online identification, collection, and investment. Novatars are all three. It is an exclusive collection that is inclusive in terms of gender, race and sexualities.
Chris: We’ve noticed a major update of your official website that explains the background of Novatars a little deeper. Can you elaborate on that?
Stefan: That’s true, we’ve recently updated our website, so you can already observe the world we have created for Novatars. NFT projects rarely have a well-thought-out storyline. And rarely do they incorporate it in the Metaverses or communities they’ve made. The Novatar Project is now all that.
The project is expanding in a more significant way than we initially designed. Our website’s expansion reflects our project’s expansion - Novatars now have the whole dedicated world and storyline they exist in. You can dive into this world by reading the comic on our website or watching a video, but long story short: Novatars are virtual bodies to populate Novacity, a Virtual World of Webscapes. Novacity is a virtual community for Novatar owners, which will have digital art galleries, casinos, and more. We are really striving to make our own exclusive NFT community.
Chris: The “NovaCity” in the storyline reflects the meta-community you’re building, is that correct?
Stefan: Yes, it is. The exclusive community we are building is based on diversity and freedom of self-representation - just like our collection itself. To create relatable and inclusive NFT-avatars, we have dedicated a lot of time researching a broad spectrum of what different races and genders look like. My team researched and considered various skin types, head and chin shapes, lips, eyebrows, hair types and colors, ears, moles, freckles, eyes, and epicanthus. The same goes for the genders and sexual orientations. We, as a team, wanted to express ourselves with full sexual and racial diversity, and we must bring all that to people.
Novatars are the first “growing” and “evolving” NFTs that can age, be used as a profile pic and become something extraordinary.
Chris: You’ve mentioned that diversity and freedom of Novacity is expressed in the collection. Does that affect the rarity of NFTs ?
Stefan: Absolutely. The diversity I’ve mentioned presupposes the rarity of each adult and baby Novatars. We have come up with the gene framework. It is an excellent and complex system that makes each Novatar unique with their looks, clothing, physical traits, gender, and sexualities. Most of those are acquired after you decide to age your baby Novatar.
Chris: So, you want to say that the aging of the NFT is in the hands of the holder. What benefits accompany the aging of tokens? Also, what happens if they decide otherwise and keep their NFTs as babies?
Stefan: Indeed, 30 days after Reveal Novatars can become adults at your will. Their adulthood brings more unique visual traits and some “inner” ones. Adult Novatar gains new clothing, a new haircut, special glasses, or other futuristic trinkets. The “inner” ones are more interesting – adult Novatar gets one of the diverse sexualities and professions. Your Novatar may grow up a bisexual gamer or trans astronaut. The diversity of genders and sexual orientations is well-thought out, our team made sure that we are being inclusive. If you’re lucky to have one of the unique ones – you’re in for a unique collectible and an investment.
But you may also decide to leave your baby-Novatar as it is, and that will be a very smart move. If everyone has grown up, won't babies become unique? They will! So, you can use both ways I’ve described to utilize Novatars as an investment.
Chris: Simultaneously, will it be possible to trade the NFT in the secondary market without turning them into adult Novatars?
Stefan: That is correct. Just as I’ve mentioned, you can leave your baby – or babies, since you can own 5 of them in one wallet. The aging of the baby is in the hands of their holders.
Chris: Currently, the first phase of sales for Novatars is on. To enhance this, what has been your approach to marketing the NFT?
Stefan: We base our marketing on an organic strategy and developing a solid community. We don’t spend money on ads and rely solely on building connections and growing our communities on Discord and Twitter, organic articles, and user interaction.
Currently, the Novatars can be purchased on our official website; subscribe to our social media and stay tuned for more updates!
