Today, we are sitting down with German Trautman — CEO of Kephi Blockchain Solutions, Computer Engineer and Blockchain Specialist.
Chris: Hello there! Thanks for doing the interview with me. So what is Kephi Blockchain Solutions?
German: Kephi Blockchain Solutions is a startup technology company focused on asset tokenization. This means that we help companies to bring assets from real economy to Blockchain. We are working currently on three cross verticals: Real Estate, Marketing and Art, with specialists in every vertical to engage the technology and the business units.
What is more, we have integrated multiple blockchains, as Ethereum, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain, to give the users flexibility and efficiency.
Chris: Kephi Gallery is worth attention, can you elaborate on it?
German: Kephi Gallery is the principal product for Kephi ART vertical. We choose this firstly as there weren't any NFT marketplace in LATAM region and we wanted to position our brand as leaders in the market. The main focus of Kephi Gallery is to be the first NFT Latin-American Art Gallery in which everyone can join the community, create, exhibit and commercialize a new way of art.
Currently we have 3 galleries inside the market:
a - The Open Gallery is open and free to the world. This means that everyone can create an NFT, show it in the market and sell it.
b - The Curated "by Kephi" Gallery, where our curators choose and evaluate selected artworks to be exhibited
c - The Curated "by Zurbarán" Gallery, which is our exclusive saloon. We have made a partnership with "Zurbarán, El Arte De los Argentinos" which is one of the most important Art Gallery in Argentina, to work in what we call "The Big Bang of the Art". In this concept, we mix the traditional physical art with the Blockchain, Metaverse and Augmented reality to create a disruptive universe for showing artworks to the world.
In addition, we have developed a space in Decentraland where we have, a virtual Art Gallery and a free space for companies that are interested in doing events or actions inside the Metaverse.
Another interesting thing to talk about, is our tokenization white label solution, which allows everyone to create their own NFT marketplace with their own brand, functionalities, and token. As an example, we have developed a music NFT marketplace called BeatBlox which are leaders in Uruguay.
Chris: In the 'coming soon' section you have Kephi Marketing and Kephi Real Estate. What prompted the decisions to follow these development directions?
German: Well, in both cases we found great opportunities.
In the case of marketing, the surveys show that companies are investing between 7 to 12% of its budgets in marketing every year and the market size is pretended to hit $800 billion by 2024. Our proposal is to offer Immersive Brand Experiences mixing NFTs, Metaverse, Augmented Reality and utility (via utility tokens and dNFTs). This last word is very important for us, as we want to mix real world with virtual world to engage with users and gain mass adoption.
In the case of Real Estate, we are developing a solution that integrates the ecosystem between bigger and smaller investors giving the chance to participate in a real estate investment starting from 100 USD. This solution will work as a fundraising option for real estate developers and from the investor's point of view, it will be a secure investment with an underlying asset, which are the bricks behind the scenes.
This is a solution for all LATAM market, pivoting on the need for financing and the low level of banking in the region.
We are working hard on the regulatory aspects of security tokens and on the possibility of a vertical integration that involves investors, developers and services companies, such as architects, building companies and suppliers of critical work materials.
Chris: What is BaaS?
German: BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) is a concept that we choose to deliver solutions to our customers. It means that we turn a high complexity solution into an easy, efficient, and quick implementation. We first start by evaluating and analyzing the customer proposal and then we elaborate a tailored made solution applying our Tokenization Engine.
We believe in the token economy applied to the financing and development of various sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, energy and industries that find value in the traceability of their production processes or products.
Chris: What are the most exciting milestones you have planned for the next 3-6 months?
German: I think one of the most challenging milestones we have is the launch of the real estate project. It is a great opportunity to introduce a new way of financing and structuring real estate projects, whether they are aimed to obtain funds or capital appreciation. In addition, Incorporating the middle sectors in the possibility of quality investments with legal certainty, and traceability, sounds challenging too. This also implies a remarkable work from the perspective of communication and making the onboarding processes quick and easy for everyone (which are not easy for those who are not familiarize with new technologies). There are also legal challenges and adjustments to the different markets and their uses and customs.
It is extremely challenging to modify a traditional industry that moves billions.

German: We want to thank you for helping us communicate, disseminate and massify aspects of the economy, art and technology. In this stage, we are seeing only the top of the iceberg which will inevitably impact on unimagined levels. We are a multidisciplinary team, with very young and experienced people in the world of the real economy. All of us, who are part of Kephi, share a vision and a new paradigm and together we work to develop ideas and products to be a big player in the world of DEFI, Blockchain and the token economy.
