How's everybody doing? This time around we are talking to Chris — Founder of NFT Plazas!
Chris from BitCourier: NFT Plazas is a great destination for all NFT lovers. Can you tell us about your journey as an entrepreneur and how you came up with the idea for NFT Plazas?
Chris: The website started out to provide an alternative source of content specifically for the Decentraland community after the first ever land auction in December 2017.
However, as interest grew in NFT technology and current affairs, and after investing in various projects in the space for so long, we found we were better qualified than most to be sharing a wider range of NFT information and guides. As such, we rebranded as NFT Plazas in 2021 and the rest is history.
Chris from BitCourier: Talk about your team please. To share so many exciting news from the entire industry you must have dedicated and very thorough editors.
Chris: We have a great team which is jam-packed full of NFT and Metaverse connoisseurs from 5 continents who have all been united by their passion for NFTs and the underlying technology.
Chris from BitCourier: How do you balance the need to innovate and differentiate your platform with the need to ensure a seamless user experience for buyers and sellers?
Chris: We were one of, if not the first, dedicated news platforms entirely devoted to NFTs and the Metaverse. Back then, most of the established Cryptocurrency and Blockchain news sites treated NFTs as an afterthought to their standard offering - but we put NFT projects, community, and technology at the forefront of everything we do, and still do to this day.
Over time, other NFT news publishers have entered the space, and whilst some may have brought their Web2 publishing experience with them, they have not naturally grown in Web3 like we have, and it shows to the trained eye. Our primary goal is to share our vast knowledge with as many readers as possible in order to educate within the growing NFT ecosystem.
Chris from BitCourier: Any lessons you have learned along the way as the market has been so volatile?
Chris: Be sure to stay up to date with the latest NFT news. My advice is to never FOMO in, and always DYOR.
Chris from BitCourier: How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the NFT industry, and what sources of information do you rely on?
Chris: Twitter is a good one if you like a more ‘raw’ conversation. Try Reddit to balance yourself with FUD if you’re ever feeling over confident. Mostly, find some independent NFT specialists with no hidden agenda, that you can grow to trust, and stick with them.
Chris from BitCourier: What advice would you give to other aspiring entrepreneurs who are looking to enter the NFT space or launch their own startup?
Chris: We’re still incredibly early. Go for it, but do it for the right reasons. There has never been a better time.
