Like the Slogan "Space to Everyone" We are Open to Everyone - Interview with Raimundas Sereika, Founder & CEO of WarpBeam.io

Greetings, Crypto enthusiasts! My guest today is Raimundas Sereika - Founder & CEO of WarpBeam.io.

Raimundas Sereika has a professional background in the TV broadcast industry, with over 35 years of experience in television. He has worked in various roles, including news editor, TV show editor, promo editor, and producer. His team has collaborated with more than 10 TV channels worldwide and has received multiple PR awards, ranging from bronze to gold. In addition to his expertise in media, he has a strong knowledge of blockchain and programming languages. He has also pursued further education in probability theory, leadership, and business training, and has participated in several incubators.

Chris: What inspired you to create this hybrid TV ecosystem, and what gap in the market are you addressing?

Raimundas: WarpBeam was built to bridge the gap between traditional streaming services and the emerging Web3 landscape. Including satellite television as open TV format, to help small content creators, artists reach the audience.

Still, lots of work needs to be done, but the way we want to create it is to build a loyal community, from every single member, who could be important and connected to our ecosystem. The goal was to create an ecosystem that provides not only high-quality entertainment while integrating blockchain technology for monetization, ownership, and engagement, but also to have real users: no bots, fake accounts, who help each other to grow and be the real numbers for media buyers and advertisers. Traditional platforms like Netflix are centralized, limiting creator monetization options, while fully decentralized platforms often struggle with content variety and adoption.

WarpBeam aimed to combine the best of both worlds. Also funding artists for original content, festivals... We can experiment while other channels must follow strict business plans. It's a fair platform - we will charge just a little commission for storage usage while sharing the revenue with the whole ecosystem.

Chris: How does your platform differentiate itself from traditional streaming services like Netflix or decentralized alternatives like Theta Network?

Raimundas: WarpBeam differentiates itself by offering a hybrid model. Unlike Netflix, it allows content creators and users to benefit from blockchain-based rewards, tokenized engagement, and decentralized ownership.

Like the slogan - "Space to Everyone" - we are open to everyone, just don't break the law, rules, be polite. Your content - your rules. Compared to Theta Network, which is heavily focused on decentralized video infrastructure.

WarpBeam prioritizes user experience while incorporating Web2/Web3 benefits without requiring full decentralization. Keep it simple.

Chris: You describe the platform as “Web3 friendly” but not Web3 exclusive. How does this hybrid approach benefit both crypto-native users and traditional audiences?

Raimundas: This approach ensures that traditional users can enjoy a seamless streaming experience without needing blockchain knowledge, while Web3 users can leverage features like token rewards, NFT-based content ownership, and on-chain governance. This lowers the entry barrier for mainstream adoption while maintaining the advantages of blockchain integration. We made it open to everyone with all the instruments. for ex. Pay for subscriptions to crypto or fiat, share the content about the web3 or crypto projects, get paid for fiat or crypto etc...

We are small, but we want to be the first project that will have the VASP, MICA license and could be an example of other projects, that everything is possible, just keep doing what you love.

Anyway, the market shifts, and more and more platforms make adjustments for being paid for content creators. like a few music platforms, stopped paid royalty if u are small, some platforms set criteria like 1-10k minimum followers until they start getting rewarded. We will pay from the first paid subscriber. Better to share with everyone and the whole ecosystem is happy and loyal, just to be "greedy"

Chris: What are the main benefits of using the $WPLAY token within the ecosystem?

Raimundas: We offer multiple monetization opportunities for creators, including token-based rewards, access to premium features, exclusive content, and an ad-free experience. Additionally, our platform incorporates community-driven governance,  allowing users to help shape their future.

To drive engagement, we introduce incentives such as watch-to-earn models. We also utilize a "Stable Service Token" for satellite content broadcasting, where 1 token is equivalent to 1 second of broadcast time. For those paying in fiat, the cost is set at a minimum of $2 per second. Our transparent bookkeeping ensures accountability, with many more innovations to come.

Chris: What types of content do you expect to dominate the platform — gaming, movies, independent content, or something else?

Raimundas: Ultimately, content creators will determine the platform's direction. However, we would love to see Web3-related content, as it aligns with our vision of mass adoption and education.

That said, since our platform is open to all creators and distributors, we anticipate a diverse range of content, including movies, documentaries, music videos, concerts, shows, and sports. Additionally, we plan to introduce live streaming with various options once we are ready.

Chris: How do you handle content moderation and copyright issues in a decentralized, Web3-friendly ecosystem?

Raimundas: As our platform grows, we will expand our moderation team and onboard specialists dedicated to content review and copyright management, including partnerships with royalty firms.

A key requirement is that any uploaded content must comply with copyright laws. Content creators must either:

  • Own the rights to the material.
  • Hold a royalty-free agreement, or be the original creator.
  • Before approval, all content will be reviewed for potential legal violations. Accredited partners who meet our standards will have permission to go OnAIR under specific contracts.
  • However, since we distribute most of the revenue directly to creators, they must also adhere to a fair policy and take full responsibility for their uploaded content.

Chris: What role does advertising play in the ecosystem, and how do you ensure fair monetization without excessive ad intrusion?

Raimundas: Great question. We are currently fine-tuning our ad-to-reward ratio, adjusting it based on content popularity.

To ensure fair monetization without disrupting the user experience, we will offer options such as:

  • Ad-free subscriptions for users who prefer an uninterrupted experience.
  • Token-based ad removal, where holding a certain amount of tokens in the wallet grants an ad-free experience.
  • User-driven advertising, allows content creators to exchange loyalty rewards for promotional services.
  • While advertising is a necessary component of our ecosystem — including pre-rolls from media buyers and user-generated ads — we are committed to keeping it balanced.

The 2.5% revenue share from the treasury and token activity alone cannot fully sustain content creator earnings, so ads will play a supportive role in our revenue model.

Chris: What are the next major milestones for WarpBeam and $WPLAY in the coming year?

Raimundas: Our primary goal is to raise $1 million, ensuring at least one year of stable operations, including launching our own TV channel from MENA countries to Norway, with plans to scale further.

Other key milestones include:

  • Listing $WPLAY on multiple top 10–50 CEX exchanges to drive mass adoption.
  • Building a treasury fund to support and reward content creators, especially for original content like films and short films.
  • Launching our own film festivals onboard young filmmakers and supporting indie creators — because today, high-quality content can be produced even on a smartphone.
  • Developing and releasing our native TV app for smart TV brands.

Currently, we are testing Android TV, with future expansion to Apple TV, Roku, and other third-party devices.

Since we are entirely self-funded, with no VC backing, we must execute every step strategically and with precision.

Chris: Thanks for joining us! Where can our readers follow you?
