How's everybody doing? This time around we are talking to R.H. — Founder of Imperial Obelisk.
Chris: Hello there! What a remarkable project you got! Can you tell our readers what is Imperial Obelisk in short terms?
R.H: A community memecoin. There really is nothing else to it. Utility itself in a coin like this should be reserved after hitting certain levels.
Chris: Cool! What stands behind the idea? How was it forged?
R.H: So I actually met Ryoshi a few years ago. We worked on similar projects together and communicated via telegram and a more private IRC. It was the same IRC with the doge original developers. When he told me he was working on Shiba Inu I decided to buy in late August and made a pretty hefty fortune on it. It sparked an interest in me in how community can make wonderful things. I remember when we first made the discord for it, and it was just a few people grilling each other for selling. It was amazing to see people of different backgrounds and places on the internet come to life and work for a common purpose. That experience that I had made me want to branch out and do my own thing. It ultimately led to what IMP is today. We enjoyed early success by getting some of the people we met in SHIB to buy in early, you can even verify and cross-reference a lot of the holders, and that helped our first few pumps. We intend on doing something similar soon.
Chris: Is it true that users can purchase $IMP without taxation? How is that possible?
R.H: Yes, just on Uniswap. Our original contract was taxed but ultimately, a community coin deserves a completely tax-free coin so we decided to do a v2 and airdrop original $IMP holders.
Chris: Sweet! By the same token, what are some unique features of the token?
R.H: There is nothing intrinsically special about the token itself. It is in essence, what $SHIB was. What makes it special is the possibility.
Chris: Who's your team consisting of? What are your backgrounds?
R.H: I myself am a software engineer and have given my services to a few crypto projects. There is one that goes by the name of NL and he is a cryptographer/mathematician working on his phd. SH is a marketing manager who constantly talks with many influencers and is the sole reason Shib got on the Wall Street Journal and manages a few smaller hedge funds. DS is our social media manager who has a lot of Twitter connections.
Chris: How big is your community? Do you put a lot of effort in nurturing it?
R.H: It is quite small at the moment compared to the world-wide phenomena it will be soon. The community nurtures itself.
Chris: What are your milestones for the end of 2022, fist quarters of 2023?
R.H: Although my team disagrees, I don't like putting milestones as I feel it limits progress. Once you hit one milestone it's possible to get incredibly lazy. The team would tell you something like "1000 new holders" by 2023, but I prefer just keeping it simple and growing day by day.
