What is Quranium?

Quranium is a layer-1 blockchain built at the intersection of blockchain technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and quantum security. Launched in early 2024, Quranium touts itself as the world’s first convergence layer between these three technologies.

Quranium is compatible with the Solidity programming language and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This way, developers can access tools used within the Ethereum network and other layer-2 networks built on its infrastructure. The L1 blockchain also utilizes SLH-DSA, a stateless hash-based digital signature algorithm that secures data from potential quantum computing exploits. According to the project’s development team, this signature scheme is more advanced than Boneh–Lynn–Shacham (BLS), the one most blockchains use.

To stay ahead of the game, Quranium utilizes the scalable proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. This way, it can facilitate fast and efficient transactions while fostering a modular architecture.

The QRN Token

Quranium has a native token, QRN. This cryptocurrency serves as the lifeblood of the blockchain’s ecosystem. Like other networks, Quranium uses the QRN token for marketing and network growth efforts. QRN also serves as a governance token, enabling users, developers, and validators to vote on proposals and other matters related to the blockchain.

QRN holders can also partake in staking to maximize their earnings and protect the network. However, users need a minimum of 32 QRN tokens to become a validator.

QSafe Wallet

QSafe Wallet is a non-custodial digital wallet designed by the Quranium team. Users do not need to submit their credentials before using the QSafe Wallet. This multi-chain wallet supports transactions across Bitcoin, Solana, Quranium, and the EVM. All transactions use the SLH-DSA signature scheme, protecting them from quantum exploits.

QRN Faucet

Crypto faucets are platforms that allow users to send small amounts of a cryptocurrency to a wallet address in exchange for completing simple tasks. In the case of QRN Faucet, it enables users to secure Test Coins and Gas Coins from QSafe to execute transactions on the Quranium Testnet Core Layer.
